Uses and Differences of the Industrial Boiler Steel Tubes
Date:2025-12-10      View(s):49      Tag:boiler steel tube difference, boiler steel tube uses, boiler steel tubes details
First, Uses of Boiler Steel Tubes:
① General boiler steel tubes are mainly used to manufacture water-cooled wall tubes, boiling water tubes, superheated steam tubes, superheated steam tubes for locomotive boilers, large and small smoke tubes, and arch brick tubes, etc.
② High-pressure boiler steel tubes are mainly used to manufacture superheater tubes, reheater tubes, steam pipes, and main steam pipes for high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure boilers, etc. The overall supply and demand trend in the high-pressure boiler steel tube industry is stable; however, the supply and demand situation in specific sub-sectors will further differentiate. Industry insiders point out that the most crucial link is the use and promotion of new energy-saving and heat-insulating 20g high-pressure boiler steel tube equipment.
New energy-saving 20g high-pressure boiler steel tube products are gradually increasing in the market, such as green and environmentally friendly coatings, energy-saving and water-saving sanitary ware products, environmentally friendly stone materials, and environmentally friendly external cement foam insulation boards etc. The prospects for energy-saving and environmentally friendly products in the vast market of the 20g high-pressure boiler steel tube industry are promising.

Second, the differences between high-pressure boiler steel pipes and low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes:
1. The execution standards for high-pressure boiler steel pipes and low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes are different.
High-pressure boiler steel pipe standard: GB/T5310-2018
Low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipe standard: GB/T3087-2018
2. The operating environments for high-pressure boiler steel pipes and low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes are different.
High-pressure boiler steel pipes: working pressure is generally above 9.8 MPa, and working temperature is between 450℃ and 650℃.
Low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes: working pressure is generally not greater than 5.88 MPa.
3. The materials of high-pressure boiler steel pipes and low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes are different. Suitable materials for high-pressure boiler steel pipes include: 20G, 20MnG, 25MnG, 15MoG, 20MoG, 12CrMoG, 15CrMoG, 12Cr2MoG, 12CrMoVG, 12Cr3MoVSiTiB, etc. Suitable materials for low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes include: 10#, 20#.
4. The prices of high-pressure boiler steel pipes and low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes are different. High-pressure boiler steel pipes are more expensive than low/medium-pressure boiler steel pipes.
